Graeme Brady - R.I.P

It is with great sadness today that we have to announce that our colleague Graeme Brady passed away on 17th February 2010. Graeme had been in poor health for a considerable period of time but many of us believed that he was beginning to win this uphill struggle. Our sympathies go to his family on their loss and it is very safe to assume that many people will be saddened to hear this news as in his role at Studio3 Graeme was quite literally the voice of our organisation. There are so many people with whom he has communicated with over the years who feel a personal bond and connection. We will remember him for his integrity, honesty and caring approach to our work. Most of all we will all remember his devotion to our approach.

Graeme you will be sadly missed. My thougths are with your family, friends and work colleagues. You were of great support in encouraging me to complete the trainers programme. I am saddened by the news. I couldnt find the words , but thought this poem said it all.

No Person is Ever Truly Alone
by Richard Fife

No person is ever truly alone.
Those who live no more,
Whom we loved,
Echo still within our thoughts,
Our words, our hearts.
And what they did
And who they were
Becomes a part of all that we are,
Forever.

I agree, very sad news. Graeme was a lovely gentleman in all senses of the word. So sad that he has died young as he had such a lot more to offer to make the lives of people with autism more rewarding. Please continue his good work StudioIII.

This is very sad to hear. Although to me Graeme was only a voice on the phone and a respondent to email, he was always pleasant and managed to make these all to remote connections a little bit personal.

I write on behalf of everyone at BILD to simply say how sad we all are to hear of the loss of Graeme. He was passionate about the work of Studio 3 and the difference the organisation made to the lives of people with learning disabilities. He was a true gentleman, always willing to support and help out BILD's work, and always going the extra mile in our partnership working.
Our thoughts at this time are with his family and everyone connected with Studio 3. You have lost a true ambassador, and a genuinely committed and friendly guy.
We at BILD are proud to have had the opportunity to work with Graeme and have many fond memories of him.
We especially appreciate all of the help and support that he offered to us over the years.
Thanks Graeme - we will miss you.
Keith, Sharon, Liz, Will and everyone at BILD.
