View Full Version : POLITICS Charles Kennedy and booze
I applaud Charles Kennedy's honesty. I wish such honesty could have been rewarded with a more dignified end to his leadership. I believe that honesty should receive some kind of reward. There are many people who are trying to kick the habit and rarely admit their problem. So would we want a leader of our country who had a problem with drink. My answer is that I might prefer it to a personality disorder.

From what I remember he was told to initially keep it quiet that he was receiving treatment as this would increase his chances of success.
Do you not find it sad that in this day and age its seen as something special when somone is honest?
