The training and further work necessary in your particular setting and with the challenges your staff face is unique

We will be happy to hear from you to discuss your needs and arrange a meeting or assessment if needed. You can contact us here.

The training we provide will be tailored to suit the client group, challenges and settings of your service.

Our building block course is a "bricks and mortar" type course called "Managing Challenging Behaviour" and is set up as a three day course. We have now launched a new flexible approach to make our training more accessible to a broader spectrum of staff. One and two day workshops are now available alongside the highly acclaimed three day course, providing a very cost efficient entry level to the Studio 3 approaches.

The content and length of the course will be relevant to your circumstances.

The Courses

We also provide a Training Trainers Scheme where we train staff to become in-house trainers in our approach and techniques. For more information on this scheme please follow this link.

Individual courses based on the Managing Challenging Behaviour course have been developed to meet the specific needs of staff working with the following client groups:

  • Learning/Intellectual Disabilities (Adults, Children and Older Adults - residential care, respite care, day centres, community based and supported living schemes)
  • Autism (Adults, Children and Older Adults - residential care, respite care, day centres, community based and supported living schemes)
  • Young People (labelled as Autistic, with learning disabilities, educational difficulties or with emotional behavioural problems - in all settings including mainstream educational)
  • Mental Health, Psychiatry (In all settings including secure facilities)
  • Older Adults EMI (In all settings)
  • Acquired Brain Injury (residential care, respite care, day centres, community based and supported living schemes)

We have also tailored our training course to specific settings:

We provide post-training staff support in relation to all our courses as well as the possibility of referrals to our Clinical Services for specific work.

Course requirements

Please note that in order to run our courses, we require a large room, approximately 13m x 13m (40' x 40') which is free from obstructions (staircases, pillars etc.) and preferably carpeted. Since we will be making a lot of noise, especially on the courses which include the physical restraint procedures, the room should ideally be located where this would not create a problem. A flipchart and pens should also be provided.
